Principal's June Letter
As the 2010- 2011 academic year draws to a close, Ms. Tasevski and I reflect on how far we have come in so short a span of time. School Council is to be acknowledged for their compassion, diligence and determination to put the needs of all children first in an equitable way. Teachers, and this would mean all the variety of TDSB employees who work with our children everyday, have embarked on the breathtaking journey of continuous improvement, moving outside their historical comfort zones and have displayed a willingness to take on new challenges and try new approaches to teaching. Students have been enthusiastically involved in our new initiatives and genuinely seem to want to construct a more just and civil society, both at school and at home. Many times we have been touched by the small demonstrations of gentle humanity between young individuals in the classroom and on the playground for no other reason than it was the right thing to do. We are heartened by this experience. We eager
