Visit the Fern Virtual Library

Hello Fern P.S. Families, A short note to let you know that we have a Fern virtual library for you to visit.  It is in the form of a google site and provides a list of some additional online educational resources that your family may use while they are learning from home.  In order to access the site, your son/daughter needs to be logged on with their TDSB account.  https://sites.google.com/a/tdsb.on.ca/fern-p-s-library/home --  Mr. Enticknap Teacher-Librarian

Fling Your Support to Local Business this Spring

Hello Fern families, We are disappointed to announce the cancellation of our two big Spring events, our annual fundraising parent party, the Spring Fling, and our annual family fun day, the Fun Fair.  With the uncertainty about when we can gather, it will be some time before we can plan any kind of community event.  And, even if we could do something virtually, a lot of our families are having a tough time, so now is not the time to fundraise.   However, we're still hoping to bring the Fern family together to direct our collective effort to help out our community. Everyone has had to make huge adjustments in their lives over the past few weeks. Self-isolating has children home all day every day and parents are trying to parent, teach, work, and manage all of the changes that have taken place. How is everyone passing their time during this period of self-isolation? Reading books, watching movies, listening to music, and being inspired by visual arts. Make more art! There has never been a better time for everyone to explore the possibilities that making art opens up. Sometimes all that anyone needs is just a place to start. With this in mind, Art in Action has created art kits to do at home to spark a passion for the arts. These art kits have step-by-step instructions just like a regular Art in Action class! · Have your child take a screen break and flex their art muscles! · Included is an art
