Revised COVID-19 Screening Tool for Students

Image
Good afternoon Parents/Guardians,  Ensuring the health and safety of our students and staff is a priority and everyone plays a role. Toronto Public Health has made updates to its COVID-19 screening for students/children in childcares and JK to Grade 12 schools.  Please use this updated version when conducting your daily screening before coming to school. Here is the revised TDSB Health Pass paper version and these updates are reflected in the TDSB Health Screening App.  One of the most important thing families can do to help mitigate the transmission of COVID-19 is to screen their children daily for any COVID-19 symptoms and keep them home from school if they are sick or have had close contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19. Thank you for your continued support in keeping our schools safe and healthy.

Saliva kits will be provided to your school administration if testing criteria is met: 1. Have symptoms consistent wi

Dear Parents/Guardians,  During the last month there has been a bit of confusion regarding the Kinder Hot Lunch/Snack and Bagged Lunch email postings. Once signed into SCO, go to the top right corner and click on "My Account". Then, click on 'Manage email notifications". There will be a selection to check a box to turn ON or OFF notifications. Please confirm this is ON. Also note the following applies to all field trips, school fund raisers, etc. Please feel to email or call me should you have any further questions or concerns.  Regards, Vera

School-Based Immunization Program Grade 7-12, 2021-2022

The Ministry of Health has provided a school based immunization program for students (Gr.7-12) that is delivered by the local Public Health department. Due to pandemic related disruptions, students have missed the opportunity to receive these vaccines over the past 2 years.  Toronto Public Health will be offering the school-based vaccines by appointment to eligible students in Grade 7-12 (born 2004-2009) at clinics throughout Toronto. The process is easy and you can book an appointment at:  tphbookings.ca .  The following vaccines will be available at the TPH community clinics: Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) Meningococcal Disease Hepatitis B. Please note : COVID-19 vaccines are separate from the school-based immunization program.  Please bring your immunization record with you to the appointment, where TPH staff will fully assess the vaccination history and obtain consent.
