SO CLOSE ON CLASS PARENT REPS! JUST A FEW SPOTS LEFT...

Image
Hello Fern F am. T o help the School Council communicate with you better, we'd like to get a parent rep from each class to facilitate communication. We've had great uptake so far, but a few classes are still short a rep. It's primarily a communications function -- you help us reach out to your class -- but we'd love for people to also participate in our School Council meetings to provide us with insight into what you are hearing from parents. Please email us at  fernaveschoolcouncil@gmail.com  if you are interested in being a class rep for any of the classes below. New folks to Fern, this is a great way to get involved! Feeding hotdogs to the Fern families since 2015! (with a brief hiatus in 2021/22)   Join us between 5pm and 7:30ish for the Curriculum Night Welcome Back BBQ.  Curriculum -- otherwise known as "Meet the Teacher" night will be two half-hour sessions from 6-6:30 and 6:30-7 to accommodate folks with more than one child. The BBQ will be happening before, during and after the Curriculum Night. We'll have hotdogs, veggie dogs, drinks, and a bake sale!        To get this event off the ground we need a whole bus load of volunteers.  We've kept the time slots short so that you can jet off to see your kid's teacher in between serving dogs or selling cookies.  But feel free to sign up for more than one.  We also always need lots of bodies to help with set-up and take down.  And if you've got a grade 7 or 8 who wants to help out, or a secondary student in need of volunteer hours, we have student slots as well.   To donate to the bake sale or give us a slice of your time,
