Fern’s biggest party of the year is coming up  on WEDNESDAY JUNE 26 from 5-8:30pm  in the school yard This is the big one friends!  We need a village to get this off the ground. We need helpers for everything from face paint to games, BBQ to cake competition, set-up to clean-up. We also need your treats for the bake sale, your pre-loved stuffies   and toys for prizes AND we’re bringing back Mystery Bags, too! It’s all happening!   VOLUNTEER We have a lot of volunteer spots for adults, and kids grade 7 and up and we need them filled! Thank you so much to everyone who attended the Fun Fair yesterday! A special thank you to our many, many volunteers who helped make the event a success. We are incredibly grateful to our Fun Fair Committee, Denise Figueiredo, Trish Bentley, Rhonda Borneman, Meghan Greenfield, and Alex Larose for making it happen. Special shout-outs to Connie Behr and Julie Dossett for creating and executing the Haunted Hallway. Just think: 115 volunteers put in at least two hours each on event day, nine students and three parents assembled the Haunted House for three hours Friday night, and the Fun Fair Committee put in at least 50 hours each over the last few weeks in planning the event (probably a gross under-estimate). Rough estimate: it takes over 500 hours of volunteer time to make the Fun Fair happen. Add to that teacher time volunteering on the day, and the time Administration took providing tickets to families that might not otherwise be able to attend, and you have a Herculean communi...

There is something for EVERYONE, JK to Grade 8. This is an action-packed, super fun day to eat cotton candy, jump around on bouncy castles, experience our massive climbing wall, battle it out with friends in the zorb balls, play games, and win amazing prizes. Hello Fine Fern Parents! Our annual Fern Fun Fair is coming up fast on Saturday, June 8, 2019 ! This is an exciting day of bouncy castles, rock climbing, axe throwing and yummy treats! A call out to all Fern Families: Spring Cleaning Mission/ Recycling ♻️ Last year the prize table at the Fun Fair was a huge success! Many families donated their pre-loved stuffies to this cause. This year we are asking families to donate any stuffies, toys, or quality children’s books (will not accept adult books) in good or excellent used condition to our prize table. We are asking that you drop these items off the morning of the fun fair. Please note, if donating stuffies they need to be freshly washed. Saturday, June, 10th from 10 am - 3 pm is Fern's annual Fun Fair . The Fun Fair is an action-packed, super fun day for the kids to eat cotton candy, jump around on bouncy castles, play games, win prizes, and even have the chance to dunk the principal in the dunk tank. Parents can hang out with friends and neighbours, have peameal bacon sandwiches from Rowe Farms, and peruse our successful wine and basket silent auctions. All of this is put on by Fern parents, and we could use your help. In order to make the Fern Fun Fair a successful fundraiser, your assistance is needed in all areas. A Huge Thank You to all of the Volunteers who helped make the day the great success it was. The dunk tank was a great addition this year. Thank you to Principal Szonyi, Mr. Nikolajevic, Mr. Sy and Mr. Ciric for their participation! Thank you Taya & Chris. The weather cooperated and a lot of fun was had by all that attended. Thank you to Janet Hoard who ran an fantastic Bake Sale for the 3rd consecutive year. We raised $6830 which is a terrific result and will enrich the students programs for the 2016-2017 school year.
