FLOOD ADVISORY
We have received the following communication from the Toronto and Region Conservation:
Toronto and Region Conservation advises that up to 25 mm of rainfall is forecasted for our area over the next 24 hours, with most of this occurring by midnight. A combination of melting snow and rainfall, at times heavy, will result in rivers and streams becoming swollen and fast flowing. Conditions near watercourses are to be considered dangerous.
Folding of low lying areas is anticipated. Also continued rainfall may create street flooding and sewer surcharging. Please exercise caution when driving and avoid low-lying roadways and underpasses.
The Toronto and Region Conservation will continue to closely monitor weather conditions and will issue an update or cancellation to this Advisory by 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 13, 2009
