Suspicious incident, Roncesvalles Avenue/Geoffrey Street area

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a suspicious incident on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at 10 p.m.

It is reported that:


- a 15-year-old girl was walking in the Roncesvalles Avenue/Geoffrey Street area, when a man in a dark-coloured SUV got out of his vehicle and approached the girl

- the man asked the girl her name, then asked if she wanted to come with him

- the man placed his hand on the girl's shoulder

- the girl ran from the suspect

The suspect drove away and police were called.

The suspect is described as white, over 40, medium build and was wearing a dark jacket.

The public is reminded to be aware of their surroundings and to remain vigilant at all times.
