Help draft our new School Council by-laws
The executive members of the School Council will be attending a by-law workshop this Wednesday:
During the workshop a draft set of by-laws will be prepared that will be used to govern the conduct of School Council affairs. School councils in Ontario are required by law to make by-laws to address election procedures, filling of vacancies, conflict of interest among members and conflict resolution processes.
Time permitting we may also draft optional by-laws to address meeting guidelines, agenda setting and recommendations. The draft by-laws will be presented at the October School Council meeting for consideration.
If you are interested in participating in the workshop, please join us in the staff room this Wednesday.
September 25th from 6:30 – 9:00 P.M.The workshop will be led by Jerako Biaje-Wendt our PIAC (Parent Involvement and Advisory Committee) Co-chair & Outreach Working Group Member.
