8 Graduation is fast approaching! Your Grade
8 Graduation Committee, comprised of many hardworking Grade 7 & 8 students
and parent volunteers, has been hard at work planning this year’s festivities.
THIS IS HOW YOU CAN
HELP
SAVE THE DATE!
Monday, June 22 @ 4:30-5:30pm
Graduation
takes place on Monday, June 22 at Parkdale Collegiate Institute. (209 Jameson Avenue)
graduate only Reception, Dinner & Dance at Lula Lounge follows the
ceremony. The event at Lula Lounge is chaperoned by teachers. For the safety
and security of the graduates, the doors will be monitored by security.
Students are dismissed from Lula Lounge to a parent or guardian. If your child
is to be picked up by another parent/guardian, please send a note to Vera’s
attention, indicating who that person will be.

BUILD EXCITEMENT!!!
Graduation
is an exciting time of change for your student. Many students have experienced
through their siblings friends, the fun and energy that accompanies Grad.
Others are not sure what to expect. First and foremost, this is an opportunity
to recognize their successes and to celebrate one last time as a group, many of
whom have been together since Kindergarten!

LOUNGE (STUDENT DINNER & DANCE) FORMS
Due by April 30
Please
have your Grad return their permission form and $40 fee to the office, no later
than Thursday, April 30. Financial assistance is available. Please contact Vera
in the office.
PARTICIPATE IN OUR FUNDRAISING
BAKE SALE
Thursday, May 7
(during recesses and lunch)
The
Grads will be hosting a Bake Sale to raise funds for their Grad reception at
Lula Lounge. Please donate nut free, baked goods for this event. Cookies,
cupcakes and squares are popular, do not require cutting and fit easily in
small hands J Baked
goods in a serving dish labeled with your name, can be left in the office on
the morning of the event.
The
Bake Sale will be open to all students. If your Grad has younger siblings,
please send them with funds so that they can participate and enjoy the goodies!
LEND A HAND
Anytime
If
you have a skill that you think might be useful either before or after the
event, i.e. set-up/clean up, access to staging props, please contact a
committee member.
We
