Jump Rope For Heart

We would like to say a big thank you to the school community for your involvement with 'Jump Rope for Heart'! Fern Avenue has raised a total of $5,819.55! This far exceeds our goal of $5,000.00 for this year! Every dollar brings us closer to winning the fight against heart disease and stroke, and we truly appreciate your support. Also of great importance is that our students actively participated in a school wide fun day of jump rope, became more aware of the importance of exercise for a healthy heart, and helped others in need.

Grade 8 Montreal Trip

Dear Grade 8 Parents, Our Montreal Trip bus is leaving at 7:15 a.m. this Wednesday.  Students should meet at 7:00 a.m. inside the school auditorium.  Please leave enough space on Wright Avenue for both buses to park, especially on Friday when we come back.  We had a full period assembly with the students last week going over the trip and answering any questions. Students are encouraged to pack their lunch for the first day, and to dress appropriately for the weather. They will need to bring some money for the second and third day lunch.  We will post our Estimated Time of Arrival ( ETA) on Friday around 3:00 p.m.  For further questions please e-mail bogdan.nikolajevic@tdsb.on.ca directly.  You can also find out more information on  https://www.brightsparktravel.ca/ regards, Bogdan Nikolajevic

Eight of our athletes placed top ten, which is a great achievement considering the level of athletic performances. Our top athletic results at the finals meet from our school were with Lucas Teixeira that got 3rd place for 800meters, Princess Saladino that came 4th in running long jump, and Sophie Rashid-Cocker that came 4th in the 1500 meters.
