Fern STEM Night - Save the Date - Thursday March 1st
Please join us on Thursday, March 1st @ 5:30 - 7:30pm for some STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) inspired fun for the whole family!
Come see the classroom STEM Day projects on display (JK-Grade 8) and participate in hands-on activities in the auditorium and first floor classrooms.
Pizza will be available for purchase.
More details to come but in the meantime...WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We are asking the community to help us collect materials to support STEM night activities and make it an Eco friendly event.
On Friday, February 9th, boxes will be set up in the foyer for you to bring in the following:
• Paper tubes
• Paper and plastic plates
• 2L pop bottles & screw cap (washed)
• Used CD's to make hover-crafts
• Pull bottle lids (not flip) liquid soap
• Bubble wrap
• Straws
• Elastic bands
• String
• Toothbrushes (washed)
Our goal is to use as many recycled materials as possible to support our school’s designation as an Eco School.
We are asking for some parent volunteers to be on hand for an hour at the end of the school day to help load materials into vehicles. Please check the Fern volunteer board to sign up. There are also a few more volunteer positions seeking help collecting large boxes from Costco and Bike stores and/or to store materials in your garage.
Thanks everyone! And happy purging!
Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask us.
