Important REHEARSAL and WINTER CONCERT INFORMATION
Rehearsal Information for the Primary Winter Concert with Senior Band, Senior and Junior Strings and Kestrels: Wednesday, December 12, 2018, all day
The Grades 1 to 3-4 will be walking to Parkdale Collegiate in order to take part in the rehearsal for the Winter Concert. We will be leaving the school after announcements and attendance.
Students will be expected to carry their own lunches to Parkdale as well as their indoor shoes. Children who participate in the Hot Lunch program will be given a bag lunch to carry with them to Parkdale. It may be a good idea to pack a few extra snacks and a bottle of water as well. We will all eat our lunches at Parkdale.
Parents are welcome to walk with us to and from Parkdale Collegiate. They are also welcome to assist in the supervision for the rehearsal.
The Senior Band, Senior and Junior Strings and Kestrels will be walking to Parkdale Collegiate after afternoon attendance. They will be carrying their instruments with them. The larger instruments will be transported via car by a teacher. The instruments will remain at Parkdale, locked up overnight. The seniors will be dismissed from Parkdale if it is dismissal time. If they are finished rehearsing early, they will walk back to Fern with the Senior teachers.
Students must be dressed for the walk i.e. boots, coats, mittens and hats. They will be expected to wear their indoor shoes for the rehearsal.
The students have worked very hard at Fern to prepare for the concert. However, it is important that we rehearse beforehand at the actual location.
We will be returning to Fern Ave in time for dismissal.

Students must arrive at Parkdale Collegiate no later than 6:00 pm, all dressed and ready to perform. The students must wear indoor shoes. Please make sure your child has eaten dinner or a substantial snack before arriving. Do not send any snacks with your child to Parkdale Collegiate. Make sure your child has visited the bathroom before entering the school. The concert should be about one hour.
When you arrive, please drop off your child to the assigned room to be with their classmates. There will be signs to indicate where to drop them off. Their classroom teacher will be supervising the class until it is time to perform. When your child has finished performing, they will be escorted back to that same room. You can pick up your child from that room at the end of the concert.
Please do not go to pick up your child to sit with you during the concert as it will cause disruptions for others.
There will be a note going home to the parents of the students in the following classes as they are being asked to wear specific outfits for their Drama/Dance performances:
Ms. Nitsis, Ms. Centano, Ms. Voicu, and Ms. Couture.
If you have any questions, please contact either of us at the school.
Ms. Jolic & Mr. Nano
