This workshop is designed for parents, caregivers and educators with a vested interest in raising race conscious children. The session grounds itself in an evidence base of sociological research, and uses practices and case studies to develop strategies for understanding and addressing racial bias, being accountable for harmful behaviour, and building a capacity for solidarity. Appropriate language and topics of discussion for toddlers to teenagers are examined. The workshop focuses on intergenerational empathy and understanding to cultivate an anti-racist worldview and practice! Participants are provided with additional resources and readings to continue their learning beyond the duration of the session.
