Important Announcement: School Council Communications

Introducing School Council Messenger!


Great news!  School Council now has a more efficient way to reach current parents -- School Council Messenger! This is the same as the School Messenger, only from the School Council, not the Principal.  This email will allow us to reach families of currently registered kids on official School Council business.  We're still playing with how it will fit into the rest of our communications channels, but starting next week, we will be sending you information about upcoming events directly to your email address.  

We will still maintain our other communications channels, since this email list does not include families who might be connected to Fern, but not currently registered (families of recent graduates for example), or families with more than two parents/guardians/grandparents involved in the school. It's also not available for certain categories of communication -- remember when we organized coffee and muffins for teachers on strike?  That can't go on Messenger.  

The next couple of weeks there will be a LOT of communication -- toy drives, food drives, movie night, fundraisers -- but we will use this email judiciously, and other than a few peak times of year, it shouldn't overload your inbox.
