FERN GIVES BACK: WEEK TWO OF THREE WEEKS OF GIVING... FOOD DRIVE!

Thanks everyone for all your amazing contributions to our winter clothing drive for week one.  We delivered a whole bunch of stuff to Romero House for the recently arrived families they support.  



This week, December 2-6, fundraiser and food drive for the Parkdale Community Food Bank!
We're collecting non-perishable food, toiletries, baby supplies, pet food & household supplies.  Here's the list of some of the most sought after items:

  • Hot/Cold Cereal

  • Canned or Dry Beans

  • Dry Pasta & Pasta Sauce

  • Canned Fruits & Veggies

  • Treats! candy, cookies, dried fruit etc.

  • Snacks! chips, crackers, granola bars etc.

  • Baking products; flour, cake mix, oats etc. -- large packages can be divided by the PCFB

  • Dog/Cat food; dry in small packages or canned.

  • Baby products; formula, baby food, diapers, wipes

  • Hygiene products; soap, deodorant, incontinence products,  shampoo, conditioner, menstrual products

Drop off is in front of the office.  We will be sorting and transporting on DECEMBER 6.

WHAT'S HAPPENING NEXT WEEK?  WEEK THREE -- Dec 6-13: West End Community Toy Drive.
We're teaming up with Umoja Soccer, Scooter Girl, Guardian Pharmacy (and a whole lot of other schools we've convinced) to collect a thousand toys to give to families who use various West End support agencies such as food banks and Romero House. 
You want to make some holiday magic? Donate new & unwrapped toys for kids aged 0-13. Drop off in front of the office until DECEMBER 13.
Other ways to give to the toy drive:
Shop at our Annual Fern Scooter Girl Shopping Days Dec 6 & 7 and Scooter Girl will donate additional toys to the drive, with the added bonus of a percentage going to Fern.
You can also shop at Guardian on Roncesvalles Dec 7 & 8.  Guardian will accept outside donations in a collection bin AND you can take advantage of their special promo: Customers who spend $75 will receive a $10 gift card or a $20 donation to the toy drive.
